This sprawling life-care housing facility was one of the first of its kind in central Massachusetts. The more than two hundred apartments provide full living amenities for its elderly residents, while also offering community facilities such as a dining room and snack bar.

 

The new four story building, connected to the existing Beaumont Nursing Home by a sky-lit pedestrian walkway, is designed to resembled rows of townhouses, giving the complex a more human scale. The balconies and projected bay windows maximize daylight in living spaces. The Willows’ 214,000 square feet of space also includes a large community room with a stage, arts and crafts rooms, a library, and a greenhouse.
